I have noticed it also looking at our stats for mobile hits

December 2010 stats

Android    42.57%
iPhone     32.18%
iPad       20.30%
iPod        2.97%
BlackBerry  1.49%

compare December to for example March 2010

March 2010 stats

iPhone          78.21%
Android         11.11%
iPod             6.32%
BlackBerry	 3.27%
Windows  	 0.65%

As you can see Android went from 11% to 42%..a large number of hits from the iPad in December. My wife loves her Droid X...I am thinking getting myself one of those as well.

I will create a post on December 31/January 1st which will show this in an Excel graph for the whole of 2010

Also Chrome browser went from 13% to 21% in the same time period

I wonder what kind of numbers other people see....

At the peak in March iPhone had 78.21% of the visits, in December it was 34.44%..of course iPad in December is 18.89% so iOS is still number 1 but I think by the summer Android will have 55%+ marketshare

There have been 100 million Android activations, 36 OEMS, 215 Carriers, 450,000 Android developers and 200,000 apps. There are 310 Android devices in 112 countries. And 400,000 Android devices are activated every single day.

Google is seeing 850,000 activations every day. In all he states there are 300 million Google-sanctioned Android devices roaming the world with 12 million of those being tablets. That number doesn’t even include devices like the Kindle Fire that do not use Google services
