DNS Setup

Postby JurkMonkey on Mon Dec 12, 2011 8:47 pm

Hey,

I have a domain controller (2008 Server) which is required to be a DNS server by default. I also I have my firewall (IPCop) which acts as a DNS server and DHCP server, and our ISP has provided us with a Primary and Secondary DNS server externally.

My question is, how do I configure these devices so they play nicely together? It seems I'm having DNS issues where I either:
A. Can resolve the domain controller, but websites become flakey
B. I can resolve any sites but contacting the domain controller is flakey and often complains of a security risk.

Any ideas?
