It hasn't been set yet. Once we get 10 (or, if necessary, 8) teams registered, I'll set the date. It's always been an auto-draft in the past due to the breadth of our time zones. I've always wanted to do live (I do in my other leagues) but we haven't been able to finagle this. We can discuss as the time comes; I would definitely be up for live, on-line drafting.

Take a look through the league settings to get familiar with it. You should be able to access that page; let me know if you can't.

Scoring is head to head. A typical scoreboard will look like this:

. BATTING STATS PITCHING STATS
------------------------------ ----------------------------
Team AVG R SB HR RBI TB ERA WHIP SV K W QS TOTAL
---------------------------------------------------------------------- -----
cLFlaVA .274 13 4 6 21 51 3.02 1.244 5 29 6 4 7-4-1
Cursors .286 11 9 4 16 52 2.92 1.893 4 21 2 4 4-7-1

At the end of the week (weeks end after the last Sunday game is played), scores are tallied. In the example above, I'd receive 7 wins, 4 losses and 1 tie in the standings, while Alex would receive 4 wins, 7 losses and 1 tie.

Whoever has the most wins at the end of the season is in first place, etc.

Does this clarify things?

So, in other words, if my entire roster are Houston Astros, I should win by default, right? ;)

Correct. If you look at the example I provided, I have a lead in 7 categories, while Alex has a lead in 4 catories, and we're tied in one category.

Also, and most importantly, notice that Alex lost in my example. This is crucial to understand, especially if you're interested in the history of the LTD fantasy sports world. Alex likes to finish second to me. Of course, by typing this I've guaranteed myself last place this year.

*ahem* who was the last person to win LTD baseball league when the jackass commissioner didn't make it a regular-season only league?

hint: it was the same jackass commissioner who made it a regular-season only league last year

I believe it was a certain clFlava that I beat in the championship with two crucial last-day pickups as well. And just to rub it in, those pickups were:

Jamie Moyer: Dominating the Nationals
Ricky Nolasco: Dominating the Mets (and keeping that joke of a franchise out of the playoffs :P )

pfft, you'd be singing a different tune if that little girl that coaches the Colts hadn't decided to pull starters in Week 16.

I assume you are referring to Pop Warner - and in cLFlaVA's case, that would apply to his baseball team, too... ;)

Chrissie, I hear that Hasselbeck will still be available next season for you to draft (again)...
