Peopleware
Code Complete
Joel On Software
The Pragmatic Programmer

From the lower lists:
Design Patterns
The Mythical Man Month
Slack

Although this is really just one guys list, I was looking through some lists that Steve McConnell put together for his company for something else and can't help but think that he would be in a good place to make a really good top 30. I'll have to see if I can dig up a page with his suggested reading books on it.
