IT gig

Postby psiedoff on Wed May 05, 2010 3:35 pm

Ok, I believe I have a good chance to land a nice little IT side gig. I've been as of late, studying for my MBA in ISM and learning about cost savings more. So, I want to impress in order to land this gig. Right now, they run MS servers and Exchange for email and have a total of 5 buildings. The person they have right now is milking them for as much money as he/she can and not providing service as they previously stated. Does most of stuff remotely which is just fine, but they are not ethically providing grade A or B service. Which brings me to want to offer them cost savings...

Cost savings...going to a cloud type of network and email. They are a small 5 building placement agency company, so having there database (ACT) run local and have other documents and email outsourced should save lots of money by not needing to licensing as many servers and clients. Can anyone give some advice into this and an outline?
